On the authority of Imam al-Ridha, peace be upon him, he said: “Surat Al-An’am was revealed in one sentence, and seventy thousand angels spread it, and they have a zajal with glorification, lullaby and takbeer, so whoever recites it will glorify him until the Day of Resurrection” (1).

Al-Ayashi on the authority of Abu Baseer, he said, I heard Abu Abdullah, peace be upon him, say: “Surat Al-An’am was revealed in one sentence, and seventy thousand angels spread it when it was revealed to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace. If the people knew the merit of reciting it, they would not leave it” (2).

And Abu Abdullah, peace be upon him, said: “Whoever has a need for God that he wants to fulfill, let him pray four rak’ahs with the Fatiha of the Book and the An’am, and say in his prayer when he has finished reciting: O Generous, O Generous, O Generous, O Great, O Great, O Great, O Greater than all. On the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said: “Whoever recites Surat Al-An’am every night will be made among those who are safe on the Day of Resurrection, and he will never see the Fire with his eyes.”4
