The Civil Procedure Code of the Russian Federation (Code of Civil Procedure of the Russian Federation) is a codified normative legal act (Federal Law (Russia)) that establishes the rules for the consideration and resolution of civil cases by courts of general jurisdiction in the Russian Federation.

It is the main source of civil procedural rules. Other normative legal acts governing the procedure for civil proceedings in the Russian Federation are adopted in accordance with the code and are applied in the part that does not contradict it. However, acts of a constitutional and international nature dominate the Code of Civil Procedure of the Russian Federation, therefore, in particular, the rules contained in international treaties take precedence over national civil procedure, if contradictions are found between them in the course of practical judicial enforcement. This is directly indicated by Art. 1 of the Code of Civil Procedure of the Russian Federation and explanations that are given in the resolution of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation on the application of international law and international treaties.
