The Malay Mail Online is an independent online newspaper that covers the news of the day, whether it is in the field of politics or lifestyle.

It is led by managing editor Joan Lau and executive editor Leslie Lau who were most recently part of the team that managed The Malaysian Insider.

We do not hope to change the world -- after all, we are journalists and not activists -- but strive to report the changes in a balanced and non-partisan manner.
