Bombom King

You play as a cyborg called Bombom King, who has been rebooted to defend an artificial planet called Altile. The planet has been invaded by the Xantho Empire, who have turned it into a barren lifeless wasteland by shutting down its Weather Control System. Bombom King's mission is to kill the Xantho leader, Xur.

Bombom King can use bombs by pressing the B Button. Bombs cause massive amounts of damage to enemies, and destroy all "temporary" blocks within one space of them.
However, bombs can also cause quite a lot of damage to Bombom King himself; so you must flee every time you place a bomb.

You can only plant bombs as long as you have some in stock. You can get bombs by either killing enemies and collecting the blue bomb they leave behind, or by finding Super Bombs; which give you 10 bombs once collected. Bombom King can also attack Xanthos by firing his lasers at them with a press of the A Button.

Bombom King's energy level will constantly deplete because he needs electricity to function, since he is a cyborg. Being attacked simply speeds up this drain on his energy. Bombom King can carry up to four reserve Life Pods, which will be used to refill his energy level whenever it drops to zero. If it drops to zero while he has no Life Pods in reserve, it's Game Over. Bombom King can recover energy either by collecting Life Pods, using Energy Capsules, or by completing a period.
As your score increases, Bombom King’s "Level" will increase, which will make him take
less damage when attacked.

Bombom King will collect many Power-Ups during his journey to the "Regency". Some of
these items will automatically take effect once collected; others have to be selected and then used, these are called the Special/Super Powers. To use a Special/Super Power, press Select to open up the Menu. In the Menu, you can either select a Power by hi-lighting it and pressing the A Button, or you can close the Menu without selecting a Power by pressing B. Once you have selected a Power, press the A Button to use it.

The game is split into many levels called "periods". To exit a period, you must make your way to the last screen, and then find a Key in it which opens up the exit. However, some periods will constantly loop, causing you to never be able to reach the exit. The only way to stop these periods from looping is to collect the Chalice, which is hidden in the period somewhere.

Super Bomb - Increases Bombom King's current stock of bombs by 10.
Life Pod - Refills about 1/3 of Bombom King's energy level.
Power Ball - Increases the Range of Bombom King's laser by one.
Barrier - Grants Bombom King temporary invincibility for 15 seconds.
Magical Bee - Randomly increases a Special Power by one.
Medal - Also known as "Awards", the currency of Altile.
Chalice - Stops the current period from "looping".
Key - Opens up the current period's exit.
Star Blocks - Increases your score relative to the amount of stars.

Special Powers

Candle - Temporarily lights up a limited area directly around Bombom King.
Energy Capsule - Recovers Bombom King's energy, equal to one full Life Pod.
Clock - Freezes enemy movement for around 10 seconds.
Super Boots - Speeds up Bombom King's running speed for around 10 seconds.
Missile - Destroys all enemies and breakable blocks in its path.
Flash - Destroys all enemies on-screen.
CrossFire - Bombom King will fire in four directions simultaneously for 35 secs.

Super Powers

Life Vest - Bombom King can float over water for around 20 seconds.
Lamp - Lights up the entire screen when dark.
Megaton Bomb - The "Major Blower Upper", destroys all things on-screen.
