Protect Me offers you these features:

The app is divided into two application areas "Protect Car" and "Protect Home".
Protect Car:
Precise warnings of weather events such as aquaplaning, fog, ice, storms and hail. The entire length of 41,200 kilometers of motorways and federal roads in Germany is divided into around 10,000 sections. In this way, individual and precise warning messages can be issued.
Map and list view of alerts
Before starting your journey, get an overview of the places throughout Germany where there is a risk of storms in order to plan a safe journey. Have the nearest danger spots shown to you in a list. The individual warnings are also displayed directly on the map.
Voice output and push notifications of detailed alerts
Urgent warning messages are read out to you via the notification sound. To do this, the silent mode of your smartphone must be switched off. During your journey, you will receive push notifications with possible voice output if you come to a hazardous area due to the weather.
Driving assistant in the background
While the app is active in background mode, you will receive alerts while driving. For example, you can use your route planner or music apps at the same time. To exit background mode, exit the app when you arrive.

Protect Home:
Precise warnings of the weather events snow, storm, ice and heavy rain for the addresses you have saved within the Federal Republic of Germany.
Save up to ten addresses, for example for your holiday home, your holiday accommodation, your home address or your exact location where you are right now.
List and location view of alerts
Get an up-to-date overview of the severe weather hazards for the addresses you have saved and your current location. In the detailed view you get more detailed information about the individual warning messages.
Push notifications detailed alerts
You will receive push notifications for the addresses you have saved or your live location when a danger zone is detected by the weather. You will receive the push notifications automatically while the app is active in background mode.

Required operating system of the app:
The app requires Android 12,11 or 10 operating system.

For the best use of some functions of the app, it is important that the GPS location of the device is activated. If this function is not activated or is not available on your end device, the services in the app will only function to a limited extent. In order to be able to receive alerts as push messages and voice messages, it is important that you activate the notification sound and agree to receive voice messages. Please note that the app must have a mobile network to receive the current weather data. In addition, the permanent activation of the GPS sensor can increase battery consumption.
If these functions are not activated or are not available on your end device, the app's services will only function to a limited extent.
