Matan Jurumiyah

The Book of Matan al-Ajurrumiyyah is a textbook about the science of nahwu (Arabic grammar) which is very well known. Almost every santri who studies in traditional pesantren starts a study of Arabic through this book. This book is a standard book which is the basis of Arabic lessons. In practice in the world of pesantren, the book is often referred to as Jurrumiyyah. The naming is not exactly the same as the original name of the book, because the complete title of the book is al-Muqaddimah al-Ajurrumiyyah fi Mabadi 'Ilm al-Arabiyyah. Al-Ajurrumiyyah is indeed a book of muqaddimah (introduction) about nahwu science written by Ibn Ajurrum while in Mecca. The contents are very simple and basic. For this reason, this book also needs to be given a deeper explanation when a santri wants to learn nahwu science further.
