In the Alma Ata Declaration of 1978, health was declared as a fundamental right and it was said that achieving the highest level of health as possible is the most important goal in the world, to achieve this. Apart from this, many other social and economic sectors need to be operational. Health is a national goal and priority for all. Today, there is a great need for health workers to provide simple, preventive and curative health services including family welfare under the Community Worker Scheme. Especially in remote rural areas, where medical facilities are not fully available, there is a shortage of doctors, and in times of emergency there is no medical facility and guidance available, in such a situation, there is proper guidance of the victim by the hospital. Could refer to Health workers are especially needed in those areas. The main objective of this course is to train health workers.

Both components (theory and practical) of the course will be evaluated. The pass conducts theory and practical ie practical-training examinations twice a year. Practical-training examination will be conducted at the concerned training center while according to the notifications the Theory examination will be held at the allotted examination center.
