Rádio Metrópole FM 101.3

The radio was founded on April 30, 2000, replacing the former Cidade FM and Rádio Clube de Salvador, both owned by radio broadcaster, politician and businessman Mário Kertész. Its programming is characterized by journalistic and debate programs, in addition to popular programs and sports broadcasts.

Currently, the radio is part of Grupo Metrópole, which also has Jornal da Metrópole, a periodical with circulation in Salvador, and the news portal Metro1, which brings together the content of the station and the newspaper.

On May 4, 2019, observing the AM-FM migration of radio stations across the country and the trend towards disuse of the band, Rádio Metrópole ended its transmissions on the AM 1290 kHz dial, now transmitting only on the FM 101.3 MHz.
