2022 ASMCUE

The 2022 ASM Conference for Undergraduate Educators (ASMCUE) will be held virtually July 13 - 15, 2022, with pre-conference workshops on July 11. Hosted by the American Society for Microbiology, ASMCUE is driven by, for and with the community! Attendees gather to learn classroom strategies, hear biology education research updates and meet new colleagues who teach the same classes. For undergraduate educators, ASMCUE is an event not to be missed!

The theme of this year's conference is "Empowering Undergraduates with Science Literacy". Scientific literacy starts with curiosity and the ability to ask questions and to identify reliable information. It means a person can understand how the scientific community produces scientific information, how that information is packaged and delivered to the public and other scientists and how to use critical thinking to inform their personal decision making. These skills are more crucial than ever as students navigate the sheer volume of available (mis)information in their everyday lives.
