HC And - MR

"HC And - MR" (Magnetic Resonance Tomography) is patient information for children aged 4-7 + years to prepare and reduce the safety of children unfamiliar with the magnetic camera. The app is of course also intended for older children. "HC And - MR" does not refer to any specific diagnosis.

The information is spoken by a children's voice and animated by the type "Learn through play with computer / tablet".

Children in this age group and are made aware through play and concrete information. Hospitalized and urgently admitted children can quickly become "crowded" with information. Therefore, HC And's stories consist of short sequences at the child's own level, which can then be built afterwards.

The stories in HC And reflect reality and follow current clinical guidelines. The hospital staff can use this material as an educational tool to create a common frame of reference with the child.

HC And can also be used as part of the aftercare in the home if the child needs to process their experiences.

"HC And - MR" was developed in a collaboration between H.C. Andersen Børne- og Ungehospital, Odense University Hospital, admitted children and their families and 10:30 Visual Communication.

The app "HC And - MR" with Swedish speech was created in collaboration with Niklas Arkberg, X-ray nurse, X-ray clinic Norrköping, Diagnostic Center, Region Östergötland.
