The all-new 2016 Opel Astra isn't expected to make its public debut before the biennial Frankfurt Motor Show opens. Still, Digital Trends recently saw it exclusively at an event in Paris, France. The next-generation Astra will be based on the new GM Delta platform and will feature new technologies such as the front-facing camera system first introduced on the prominent brother Insignia. A generation of Adaptive Forward Lighting (AFL) that provides nine unique beams for improved visibility. As a final note, it's worth mentioning that this will be the last Astra in Europe with an internal combustion engine, given that Opel has committed to switching to electric cars in Europe only by 2028.
