Oriki Orixá

Here you will find a brief collection of orikis and some MP3 examples. The objective is to have contact with the oriki narrative in Yoruba and its translation into Portuguese. The oríkì aims, almost always, to present attributes and characteristics of the orixás, to exalt their deeds and qualities, but this does not mean that it cannot be used to claim, ask, request, thank. The oríkì is the text used for the enchantment of ancestral forces in their settlements and ojubos.
