Islam legislated the two Eid prayers, the first prayer on Shawwal 1 AH of each year and the second on the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah of each year, in the first year of hijrah, which are: the obligation of sufficiency according to the Hanbalis, the Imami, and the confirmed Sunnah according to the Malikis, and the Shafi’is; It is obligatory at the tap. The prayer will be on the morning of the first days of the Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr, and it is proven in the hadith: that the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, persisted in it, and commanded men and women to go out for it, and the Eid prayer is two rak’ahs, during which the takbeer is prescribed, and then one sermon.

The time for Eid prayer begins after the sun has risen by the amount of a spear, and scholars have determined it when its redness has passed, and its time ends with the sun’s disappearance.

Among the etiquette of Eid prayer, it is desirable to wash and perfume and wear the most beautiful clothes. On Eid Al-Fitr, it is desirable to break the fast immediately after the dawn prayer, by eating some dates or the like before going out to prayer. It is better than performing it in the mosques if possible. Otherwise, there is nothing wrong with doing it in the mosques.

“On the authority of Amr bin Shuaib, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said the takbeer of twelve takbirs: seven in the first and five in the hereafter, and he did not pray before or after it.” Narrated by Ahmad and Ibn Majah. Ahmed said: I go to this.

And in another narration: “He said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The takbeer in the breaking of the fast is seven in the first, and five in the next, and the recitation after them both.” Narrated by Abu Dawood and Darqutni.

On the authority of Amr bin Auf Al-Muzani, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said the takbeer on the two Eids: in the first seven days before reciting, and in the second five times before reciting. Al-Tirmidhi narrated it and said: It is the best thing in this section on the authority of the Prophet ﷺ. It was narrated by Ibn Majah and he did not mention the reading, but he narrated it with the reading as previously mentioned from the hadith of Saad Al-Muadhdhin.

Ali bin Abi Hamza from Jaafar al-Sadiq, the Seven Imam, and in the Eid prayer, said: "Growth and then reads and then grow up between all two ... Then he says the five takbeer and bows down to it.”
