A lot of recipes call for yeast, but we think you can do without it. We know it can get a bit panicky throwing yeast into the mix. But you do need some sort of raising agent, so baking powder is a must.

What toppings can you use for naan bread?

Nigella seeds are commonly used, but honestly, go for anything - raisins, crispy onions, coconut flakes, whatever you fancy! Make sure you brush it with oil, butter or ghee once cooked though... that is a must!


How do you cook naan?

Traditionally, naan is cooked along the sides of a large tandoor until it blisters and the skin bubbles ready for eating. Unfortunately, we're not equipped with a tandoor, so we're relying on our trusty grill!
