Rádio Atlântico Sul FM 105.7

Atlântico Sul FM is a Brazilian radio station headquartered in Fortaleza, capital of the state of Ceará. It operates on the FM dial, on the 105.7 MHz frequency, and belongs to Grupo Cidade de Comunicação. Inaugurated in 1989, its musical program consists of the adult-contemporary and MPB genres.

Founded in 1989 by the Cidade de Comunicação Group, Atlântico Sul focused primarily on the A and B class audience who listened to Casablanca FM radio, which at that time had adopted a youthful style to gain a wider audience. For this purpose, the former artistic coordinator of the network, Américo de Souza, was hired. With that, the radio started to have a more segmented style, focusing on musical genres little discussed in other commercial radios. The broadcaster's journalism prioritized issues of economy, fashion, health and current affairs, also giving space to the social columnism of the printed newspaper. In 1999, the station was integrated into the D&E Entertainment group. This partnership is dissolved in 2017, acting only in artistic management.
