Alameda is located north of the province of Malaga (Spain), in the center of Andalusia, just 45 minutes from the Costa del Sol, about 100 km. from Córdoba and Granada, and just over an hour from Seville. Its municipal term includes 64 km2 of extension, its altitude with respect to the level of the sea is 425 m., being the peak of the Camorra its most considerable height (686 m.) and the lowest is the bed of the Genil river (245 m. .) north of the terminus.
