Among the Axarquia and the Poniente Granada Zafarraya Polje, the largest in the Iberian Peninsula is located. With this guide you can visit the rich natural environment of this Polje and streets, restaurants, shops, facilities ... the main population center: Zafarraya.

This Granada municipality is framed in a beautiful setting and within walking distance of unique natural areas: at the foot of the Natural Park of Sierra Tejeda, 30 kms. the Mediterranean and the birth of the Sierra de Loja, an impressive karstic massif, full of trails and paths for hiking, horseback riding or mountainbike and a privileged destination for lovers of speleology.

In the Llano de Zafarraya visitors can enjoy one of the most important agricultural parts of Andalusia, with a summer campaign based on growing vegetables outdoors. At the edges of this unique karst formations Llano, sinks, natural drainage of waters flooding the Llano appear during the rainy season.
